Services for Attorneys outside the United States

We are “Your man in America.” ALC Provides a complete menu of priority legal support services in the United States for attorneys and law firms located in other countries.

These include: locating parties and witnesses, taking witness statements, serving original process, assistance in preparing and filing letters rogatory, assistance in preparing and serving subpoenas, gathering documentary evidence, taking depositions including telephonic and videographic depositions, and anything else that you may need.

Services can usually be completed in days.

Process Service

We can serve your original process or subpoenas whether obtained directly from your court or issued from a U.S.court.

Letters Rogatory (Letters of Request)

We can assist you with the preparation of letters of request and walk them through the courts for approval.

Gathering Evidence

We can gather evidence from defendants or witnesses. If you wish, we will assist you in the preparation and approval of letters rogatory to be issued by your court, and will hand carry your request to the U.S. court for acceptance and then to the Clerk of Court who will issue subpoenas for depositions or for documentary evidence. We can obtain public records, private records, and medical records pursuant to records releases or subpoenas.

Depositions

Arrange sworn depositions, including telephonic and/or videotaped depositions of parties and willing or unwilling witnesses. We will provide the deposition premises anywhere in the U.S. court reporters, video equipment, interpreters, telephone hook-ups and the final certifications. We will set up a conference or video / web call with you to examine (question) the deponent and enter your appearances into the deposition transcript.

Translations

If your correspondence or documents are not in English, we can translate them into English or take English documents and translate into another language.

Travelling Notary

Our interpreters/translators/notaries are available to travel to wherever your party or witness is located, and take, translate, and notarize their statement or collect, certify and translate their evidentiary documents.

Fees

Most of our services are billed as flat fees or at paralegal rates. Your requests are completed and returned to you within a few days. And you will never be billed anything that you have not agreed to in advance.
